WYSIWYG Editor

The editor gives you the ability to enter and format while working in a What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG) view of the content. If you prefer to work directly with the underlying HTML code, you can easily change modes. The editor can be used to create content for pages, blocks, and product descriptions. When working on product details, access the editor by clicking Show / Hide Editor.

NOTE
TinyMCE 5 is the default WYSIWYG editor. An update to the TinyMCE 5.10 library in Adobe Commerce and Magento Open Source 2.4.5 resolves a vulnerability that allowed arbitrary JavaScript execution when updating an image or link using some types of URLs. TinyMCE 3 was deprecated in the 2.4.0 release and removed in the 2.4.3 release. TinyMCE 4 was removed in the 2.4.4 release.

Configure the Editor

The WYSIWYG editor is enabled by default, and can be used to edit content on CMS pages and blocks, and in products and categories. From the configuration, you can activate or deactivate the editor, and elect to use static, rather than dynamic, URLs for media content in product and category descriptions.
